60 years of lurveee baby.

I slept at 6am yesterday and had to wake at 10am today.
I was suppose to meet wy at the pool at 11am but ehh..well..somehow I only manage to get there at 1220.ehehes.
We did laps,chatted by the poolside while tanning,played the playground at the children's pool,chatted and tanned somemore.
We almost had the entire pool to ourselves.NICE.
After that,we walked to hougang mall and did a little shopping.I also witnessed wy going to the bank to withdraw her money without her parents for the first time.OH..wy is all grown up now.hahas.
Bought lunch back for lazy arsey brother and was watching some crappy movie on starmovies when suddenly my mom came home, immediately announcing that I have to get my arse off the couch and take a shower because we had to go to the club to celebrate my grandparents 60th anniversary.(this aren't her exact words but its around the same message la.)
Everyone was at the restuarant,kinda formal too.I felt kind of underdressed in my black t-shirt and white polka dotted black bubble skirt.Such a long unnecessary description eh?Anyways,food was very chinese and seafood-y so it was horrible.I survived mostly on the fish,beef and deer meat while my canadian cousins survived on broccoli and rice and ar..peanuts.lols.Once again,Justin ate like a glutton.So far,he has eaten 3 roast beef sandwiches in a row/2 fish and chips in a row and today he had 4 bowls of rice.Dang.After dinner,we went to the club karoke room.I thought we were just gona like sing a couple of bad songs in a dark room and after half and hour everyone stumble home wincing after hearing bad music for half an hour.But nooo,my uncles and aunties kinda went further then that,much further(in a better way).
Uncle yong was the 'emcee' .3 speeches were made on my grandparents and their great love for each other and their family.After that,a performance was put up by uncle peng,aunty rena and diane and darren and dom played the guitars to the song 'yue liang tai piao wo de xin'.We demanded for an encore and we sang along with them.Then grandmama n grandpapa was presented with 2 bouquets of roses by my daddy.Each and everyone of us gave them a hug and after that Uncle yong told us their love story.They only knew each other for 33 days and after that they got hitched!!Wah..and their love has survived for 60 whole scary years.Soon it was time for the cake!We took plenty of group pictures and the cake was NICEEEA!Then we took individual family pictures with grandmama n papa.Mingled and at around 1am we left the place.

well ..just 3 more miserable days till even much more miserable 2006.

shopping trip.

After rotting consecutively for 2 days I finally went out on a shopping trip today with wenyan and yanshan.
We went to orchard cause we wanted to do serious shopping and serious damage to our wallets.
hahas.
Wenyan quest that day was to get a roxy pencil case while me and yanshan was just there for the ride.
I think we went to all the roxy stores in orchard.In the end wy never did find THAT pencil case,instead she bought a roxy bag and a shirt.How typical.I ended up spending some of my xmas money on a shirt and a pair of studs.Boohoo.Lol.
Actually I like spending money on shopping trips.Otherwise I would feel that it has been a day wasted.
We went to wisma then pacific plaza THEN far east plaza THEN paragon THEN wisma AGAIN THEN to plaza singapura.
WHEWWW.
You guys should really really try the fried mars bars and cheesy sausage with mash potatoes in far east plaza.
Completely delicious and fattening.But still delicious all the same.
The three of us shared a bowl of fried mars bars,cause we felt the fats in a bowl of that was too much for 1 person.hahas.
Deciding that the bowl of fried mars bars weren't enough,me and shan ended up buying the cheesy sausage.It seems like everytime I'm out with shan I always eat alot.
Luckily the weather was good too.Not to hot nor humid,pretty cool.
Otherwise I would not have walked to wisma to paragon then back to wisma again.hahas.
Because wisma did not have the pencil case wy wanted and because we did not want to walk back to paragon we ended up going to ps.
At ps,we immediately headed to the roxy shop and well,wy just ain't fated to buy a pencil case today.
After that we headed home,I reached home around 7 where I was given a slight scare from my mom.
I was opening the door of the master bedroom when I came face to face with 2 empty black orbs beneath a white mask.
It was my mom with her facial mask still on. *pengs,I know*
Well,I guess this is my last official day for shopping.Must definately savour the next few precious days till the start of the year.

Does anyone know what boxing day is for??
I asked that in a random chatroom just now and some said it was just a day after a special day.
Wow, what a purpose boxing day has.

Anyways,the xmas weekend is over.
Went to a few parties, recieved a few presents and went through a whole turmoil of emotions.

I also watched 'the chronicals of narnia' last thursday with wenyan,yixian,my bro and 3 other ri boys.
A good show.Some scenes in it really reminded me of LOTR.
Went to tm with wenyan and bro.Met up with jonathan they all and queued a very long queue for the tics.After that we had lunch where J worked because then we would have discount -.- .
It was okay I guess.It got more entertaining when we played 'zhong qi mi ma' to finish up the mango salad that has chilli,mango sago and lemon tea in it.hahas.
Not a very delicious combination thats for sure.We played around 6 rounds of it.My brother was the worst.He struck 4 times.We also tricked J once.He went to the toilet and wy asked whether we wanted to trick him.All of us immediately put our heads together and struck a plan.We had a hard time muffling our grins when he returned.We were so obvious!But in the end J still swallowed the concoction.Eww.We had add in more ingredients in it and it was after only he swallowed did we tell him our plan.hahas.Then it was time for the movie.We saw veron too..what a coincidence!

On the 23rd,us l.i.t.e.s gathered at sharlyn's house for a party cum bbq!
Us guest watched 'charlie and the choco factory' while they prepared the food for the bbq.But because the bbq pit was damn small, Ann fried everything instead.hahas.Had some steam egg,fried chicken wings,hotdogs and fried beehoon.Pretty good dinner cause there were alot of silly jokes flying around.Melinda and gang even acted a small skit according to the world's lamest riddle.The green ping pong ball 'joke'.

After that we took a couple of pictures and then joey said she had to go home.So the rest of us also went off.At the bus stop we acted like a bunch of drunks.Kept laughing ourselves silly.It was as if we suddenly all got high or something.Yixian as usual was trying to annoy us with her singing and doing a good job of it.Wenyan said later her singing made the lights go off ar.THEN, a light really went off in the house opp. us. hahahas.Had us half scared and half shock for a moment.Yixian could not stop laughing.I think our 'highness' wore off around the time we reached cp.We were so 'high' we even climbed the stairs instead of taking the escalator!Lol. Said our goodbyes and me.wy.stef and junsheng went to starbucks.Junsheng paid for our drinks and we went our seperate ways.

Went to watch the magic of love during the afternoon of xmas eve.Pretty good show but we were soo far away from the stage.After the show my dad fetched me and my bro home and had a short detour to compass where I did very last minute shopping.My dad and bro waited in the car while I rushed about cp buying wrapping paper,gifts and chocolates.There was a queue everywhere I went.Grrr.When I finally got into the car my dad was like 'You took an hour!' Actually it was only half an hour lor.Not bad le la.hahas.
Spent xmas eve night with my cousins and their families once more.We went to another club of my dad's.Had a table near the sea and ate curry chicken and chocolate brownie with tiramisu on top!After dinner we went to darren's church and watched their choir performed.After 20 minutes we left because my mom was tired and she had to work.

Xmas day started with church service!Was there in the wee hours of the morning for bible study.We did our usual stuff and then exchanged our gifts.Then me.wy and yx went off to search the rest of our church friends to give them our pressies as well.All was merry.The ushers handed out balloons and when we went in the hall we saw many balloons and confetti laying about.I found out why later.hahas.It was a great service.My dad fetched me and my bro home.After spending a couple of hours at home it was off to Uncle thong's house for xmas dinner.Dinner consisted of turkey,chicken,mashed potatoes,fried rice,sausages and salad.For desert I had a piece of log cake and ice cream!Read my book,watched mtv and 'gambled' when we discovered uncle thong's gambling table.Really cool and old.Here are some lame pictures.LOL.

I came across this blog named 'museum of twits' just now.
Another example of people laughing at the expense of someone else.
And I realised something and that is,
on the many occasions we find ourselves laughing over something,
that something is usually a someone.
Its kind of sad really.

Christmas is nearing,holidays are almost over.
I have not seen my friends in ages.
And I know something is boiling over.

I have a feeling next year is going to hit me hard.
Both in studies and in friendships.
crap.crap.crap.
I just have this sinking feeling in my heart right now and I know very clearly why.
And its not because of the Os.

bowling for conversation.

I just had dinner with my cousins and their families in my dad's club.
Initially I did not want to go at all.
It was raining,I was already on my bed and I felt that it would just be another awkward dinner where conversation would be sparse.
It was actually like this.I ate my fish and chips in moody silence while my cousins played uno.
Had no mood to finish it and my brother the glutton kindly finished it up for me.
So I made a quick exit to the toilet where some freaky girls were sharing the same cubicle and they were giggling over something.I heard them get out and I decided to get out as well just to embarrass them.They RAN for it.
hahaha.
Till now I still don't want to know what they were up to.
I did not want to go back to the table so I went to the bowling alley where there were a few comfy couches there.
Chatted to wenyan on the phone about tomorrow and soon my cousins came.Dom rudely intruded into the conversation by mimicking me gayISHLY and snatching my hairband out of my hair.
Before I knew it,all my cousins were there to play bowling.
Ah,what the heck I'll play too.
It was surprisingly FUN.It was much easier for us to interact over a game of bowling.We teased,laughed,cheered,cajoled,tried to distract one another and striked.
Had around 2 games of bowling and by then the adults were there as well,giving us technically correct but unhelpful advice as we played worse with their advice.
'You gotta bend lower,bend your knee....'
I'm like,oh whatever.
So I just threw the damn ball not caring about bending my friggin knee.
And I striked.
Haha.
When I did bend,my ball went to the gutter.
Soon bets were on the way.
$10 on justin if he could spare (he did),$200 on michelle if she could knocked down 2 balls on the left and 1 ball on the right on her last turn (gutter),$30 on dominic if he could hit the ball at the front without hitting down the 2 balls behind(the ball curved right,entirely missing the balls) and $50 on deborah if she could spare as well (missed).
With money on the line,people seem to crack under pressure.
So,all in all not a very bad night.

youth leader training.

I WENT FOR YOUTH LEADER TRAINING TODAY!!
ehehehe.
It was good to see my friends from church again.
I woke up around 650am.
The earliest I've woken since this holiday started.
I reached hougang station around 8am and I quickly ran into the train along with the usual mad morning rush.
Because there were so many people it was bodily impossible for me to walk to the back of the train to find wenyan.
I kind of felt nauseated throughout the ride though.
PEOPLE,NEVER TAKE YOUR MEDICINE ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
okay so this is like common sense but I was in such a rush this morning I just gulp down a cup of warm milk.
Got off at Outram Park and finally met wenyan face to face.
hahas.
So we took another train to Redhill and when we came out of the train we saw Weiren.
Wy quickly ushered me to take the lift because he was taking the escalator.
LOL.
Whatever.
But we we still banged into him downstairs anyways.
Bought a pao at 711 to fight the nausea off.
We waited for Jonathan(our so called guide) and after around 10 minutes he finally arrived.
We trekked to a...place. yah. right.
Come to think of it now I've no idea what that place is.
Training was pretty good.
We hung outside the corridors because Pastor has not arrived yet.
Roy and Shamilee was busy counting down till 9am as Pastor said if he didn't come and open the door by 9am we would have free breakfast!
9am came and went. Woots.Yay. yadayadayada.
He came,then we were told to stand in a circle and introduce ourselves.
Hi Im blah blah blah and Im from RI and going to RJC or Im from anderson going to NJ or Im from Ac.
So it was a pretty humbling experience la.
hahas.
After that we played DOUBLE WHACKO!
We had to partner up with someone else and whoever who sits infront is the one that gets hit while the person at the back has to yell out a name to save their partner.
Due to my medicine I was pretty drowsy-like.
So my reaction was pretty delayed but somehow we escaped unscathed.
Kianying kept beating her fist on my legs whenever someone shouted her name though.Kept me even more distracted because how can you possibly remember any name you just learnt along with 20 other something names while being simultaneously beaten??
After that we watched SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS movie.
hahas.super lame.actually I watched it before but it was still funny the 2nd time round.
We were told to sit in a circle in our different groups and the facilitators asked us 3 qns.
What was the most repeated line in the movie?
Name one characteristic of spongebob.
Which scene touched us the most?
I gave my answers quite alot of thought and you would be surprised at the amount of important lessons we can learn from a movie as silly as this.
I quoted a bible verse which says,"don't let anyone look down on you just because you are young" because this verse has almost the same meaning as what the movie was trying to tell us.
And I was right!
hahas.
It was the verse the facilitators wanted to preached about.
Several words were also used to described spongebob and some said he was lame,determined,goofy and I said he had a child like faith about him.
I got it right again!(actually there aren't any right ans but mine was most accurate la.See I understand Spongebob so well.Oh dang..watch too many spongebob shows le.)
After that,it was pastor Jo's turn to 'preach'.
1230 rolled by and we were let out for lunch!
Had fried kway teow and ate with my group.Kind of weird because everyone was so busy eating we were all very quiet.
Soon we started discussing about our game which we had prepared.I didn't take part in the planning actually cause I wasn't there on day1 so I just dreamt away.
Then we had worship and Pastor Jo spoke to us again.
If I go into the details I think your eyeballs would melt so I shall stop here.

Actually I find it downright lame.

Have been hit by another annoying wave of illness.
Ya know...the usual bouts of flu and cough.
So today was really basic.
I woke up at 10 went back to sleep till 1,read the snapper by roddy doyle till 4 and slept till 6++.
Kind of upset about having need to skip youth leadership training but then again I got to skip emath test as well! *grins*
My brother finally accepted God into his heart on Sunday.*thrilled*
Hopefully he won't backslide or something.
I can't wait to go for the training tommorow.So much to learn and I will get the chance to bond with people from my tribe.Hopefully my nose and throat won't be so destructive throughout the training.
Its only 2 more weeks to school reopen.sigh sigh sigh.
its like..HERE WE GO AGAIN.

XMAS PARTY

Had the XMAS PARTY which us people at SMART kids had planned for 4 weeks.FINALLY.
I almost didn't go actually.I woke up and felt like absolute CRAP.Sometimes I really detests MORNINGS.The sun suddenly seemed to bright,my legs suddenly feel they can't move and the HUMIDITY.Can I say ARGH?
Due to my overwhelming self discipline,I managed to get out of bed 15 minutes later than I'm supposed to.*grins*After showering,I had to drag my lazy arse of a brother out of bed as well.I used a enormous torchlight and flicked the light around his face.Annoyed the hell out of him.*evil laughs*Good method to use on your siblings people.
But still we still could not catch Miss Lim taxi and had to once more take a cab on our own.Kinda dozed off in the cab.Reached the chapel at around 1005am I think.
I packed the goody bags,stuck blue tags on paper angels and then we had worshipping session before the kids arrive.Got slained twice,LOLS.
After that everything was a mad rush because we had to hand over the chapel to the hokkien service people at 330pm.The devil is really testing us,giving us obstacles and not wanting the party to suceed sia.Quite a lot of us weren't feeling well,we had problems with the venue,the time and worse of all invitations weren't returned!
During the ice breaker time,we had a game where the group had to wrap one person in newspaper with masking tape as creative as possible.I had fun on that one though in the end us youth leaders actually did more of the wrapping than the kids.WE WON! hahas.I kept laughing during the judging of the 'snowmans'.They all look so...FUNNY?hahas.My group's snowman nose fell off and the hat fell onto his face and hid it.hahas.But because when it was time for the snowmans to dance kenneth did a great job and nothing dropped.
But in the end things turn out kind of all right I guess.The 'twirling' girls didn't drop their baton once,a few giggles came out of the audience during the drama and my group (dance and singing people) gave it our all.
Then it was time for refreshments.I was only into the 3rd bite of my curry puff when we(youth leaders) had to sing for the kids.-.-
Sang around 4 songs,did silly movements,went to shake kids hands and greet them merry xmas and finally it was back to our refreshments NOT.We found out from pastor Jo we had to move out,so it was bye bye to my refreshment once more and I went to give out goody bags.Mernard and gang finally recieved their wristbands from wy,yx and me.We brought the kids down to the church lobby and there was a 'human chain' along the way.Like a celebrity walking down the red carpet.LOLs.The trays of refreshments also followed us down and we just grabbed whatever we wanted from there while waiting for the kids buses.I ate ALOT.Argh.Soon it was time for the kids to leave and we said our sad goodbyes for we won't be seeing them till next year.*sobs* Just when our relationships were growing stronger we won't be able to see each other.Oh well,life is like THAT.

BIBLE STUDY- 8 december

Miss Lim was absent and Wen yan was given charge.
12 of us gathered around the pool table.
Really comfy feeling.
Like this close circle of sisters and nothing can break it apart-well except for times when one of us had to go pee.

Wenyan vigilantly followed her list of ‘things to do’ throughout the entire meeting.
We had a good laugh at that.
The band members gave out the cups they bought for us from Japan.
We cooed and awwed over them.

I chose a cup which had a cute pink lil bunny on it.
Joey also bought something for us from Malacca.
I got a paperclip.
Silly wenyan tried clipping it onto her hair and her hair got stuck onto it.

Kahyuen who apparently who was as silly as wenyan tried that too.
Her hair got stuck too.

Wen yan then went through last week sermon and we sang a couple of pretty off key songs.
-laughs
We are so not made for singing.
It was then time for us to go into groups of 3 and each of us had to pray for either the BIG move, the BIG run or for those people in lijiang.
Then we went on to the ADMINISTRATIVE stuff.
-sounds so official eh
It seems like only a few of us are running.
-tsk tsk
Our cell group is so lazy.
We had a crazy time trying to organize for our upcoming chalet.
Resulting in a couple of raised voices, not because we were angry at one another or anything.
The whole atmosphere was so noisy we had to raise our voice to be heard.

Things settled down and we did the secret Santa!
First round was a failure because one of us didn’t have a slip of paper.
It was only after we decided to restart the whole thing when Joey discovered she had an extra slip of paper!
Everyone ended up going ‘JOEYYYY’.

Poor Joey.
After that everything was DONE.
We took a group picture outside Joey’s gym.
And headed off to our separate ways.

PRIDE n PREJUDICE was NICEEE.
I didn’t think it would be funny or anything but there was seriously some laugh out loud moments.
