We are all after the same rainbow's end

Morning flight perk.

I get huge cravings for beer whenever I'm overseas, not sure why.

Hokkaido Matcha Milk Pudding Shake (I might have gotten the arrangement of the words wrong but you get the idea, it was awesome.) and a bowl of beef udon which is what it is.

Changing room of Monki and my lace-up boots.

The 9hour ordeal. The terminal was so empty it felt like the rest of the world has left us behind. There were only dudes fixing stuff and a whole of good they were;making so much noise banging random metal things while I tried to sleep on 2 armchairs placed together.
My startling face (sans makeup, sans sleep, sans everything and so I look like shit) at 2 A.M? Not sure what's with the weird expression but the eyebags kinda says a lot. And again, with the beer at around 3 A.M.

Yay, so there are pictures now, though not from my dslr. I would like to end off by saying that I love beer and I love my boots and I should sleep now right nowwww.

Stranded

I've spent the last couple of hours getting re-acquainted with the departure lounge at HongKong airport and according to rather tenuous reports from the airline, the delay might be even prolonged from an already tedious 9 hours wait. My phone is down to it's last 10% and I hate blogging on a public computer like this but o what the heck. Guangzhou has turned cold. I brought denim cut-offs and sandals in a 14-17 degree climate and basically felt stupid while shivering with my toes exposed. Heck, even the homeless were better clad in footwear than I was. Anyhoos, updates! - I destroyed the pictures from my HK trip 2 weeks back with Joey, which kind of explains the lack of updates, or not. The Nike run was fun (erhem) and now I'm looking forward to the StandChart race in December (erhem). O and I placed the pictures from the race on fb, so now everyone can find out how insufferably long I took to finish. I shall log off now, I think there are random people staring at my screen from the back and I feel every bit of those stares.Shall update with pictures soooon.

You climb aboard and sail away, beyond the stars of everyday.

We can burn this bridge or stay here.

I haven't done this in a long while so I thought I should just share what I've been listening to recently. (also in case you might be suffering from a bout of good songs drought)
Playlist;
Love Vigilantes by Iron and Wine (by far my favorite song from them)
Science Of Fear by The Temper Trap
Seven Day Mile by The Frames
Desire by Ryan Adams
Behind The Bunhouse by Mystery Jets
Just Another Old Love Song by Joe Purdy
Weapon Of Choice by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
In The Deep by Bird York

Some of them make me want to go on a long bus ride just so I could listen to them and dwell in the perfect entirety of them while others just make me feel kinda cool (in a very lame way) from the inside and on days when I feel half-baked and lousy, the 'tougher' songs do really come in handy.

You got tears making tracks, I got tears that are scared of the facts.

"I think that's the real loss of innocence: the first time you glimpse the boundaries that will limit your own potential."
.
"When I think of what she transformed into much later, what demented tragedy she had become by the end of her young life, I can envisage in my mother the agonising delight of the reader who hears for the first time all the ramblings of the soul, and recognises them as her own."
.
"Steep cliffs crowned with clusters of green trees lined the coast. Australia! The younger passengers let out cries of joy. The older passengers knew that the key to happiness lay in keeping your expectations low. They booed."
.
"Denouncing civilisation takes its toll when you continue to exist within it."
.
"But when she was alone with me, she was different. I realised that her sweetness, the way she carried on with the people of th town, was her mask. It was a good one, the best kind of mask there is; a true lie. Her mask was a weave of tattered shreds torn from the beautiful parts of herself."
.
"I was in awe of how, after all the pain and heartache and drama and anxiety people cause, they so unceremoniously leave your life."
.
"In short, I'm a sweetheart but I'm cold about it."

-A fraction of the whole by Steve Toltz

The book's 700 pages of insanity found in its ramblings, witticisms and anecdotes kept me sane during my most recent trip to GZ&HK. I especially like the last quote I posted. Wouldn't it make for an interesting idiosyncracy?
