We combed the entire of 2 blocks in Hougang today.Although we got more rejections and only 1 household blessed, we did it with heart and I'm glad I did this though I was a little hesitant at first.
The ONSness of Joeyboy and Wenyan pushed me on though. What struck me was the number of buddhist households we saw.Out of an entire level, the ratio of buddhist households to households of any other religion was at least 8:10.
There were times I wondered if we should just reject those closed doors and joss sticks left burning outside, but after the first few 'Sorry, we are buddhists', we stopped asking those households altogether.
I'm not sad despite us only having blessed 1 household.It's a breakthrough and that 1 household made our effort worthwhile.That perhaps because of what we did today, that household will be able to receive new blessings into their lives.
