paper thin lies

so,i got home today and was 3 bites down my ramily burger when my parents' rant started.
i finally realised why i learnt english and chinese.
on my left sat my dad and on my right sat my mom.
the whole thing started innocently enough,with my mom asking me if i had made any firm decision regarding my...oh..you know...my FUTURE.
i'm like, 'you know,this and that,here and there...most likely going temasek poly la'
DUN DUN DUN

mistake to mention anything significant cause that gave material for my parents to start ranting.
my mom was like, 'what?temasek poly?why go there if you can go to singapore or ngee ann?'(IN CHI)
my dad was still keeping quiet at this juncture cause that's what men do,ignore the situation that's building up till it gets out of control and they can play hero.

ANYWAYS,
me, 'ngee ann is like soo far la,i don't want to travel such a long distance' (IN CHI)
mom,'you see your cousin weiling ar,live in tampines also don't want to go temasek,she rather go singapore poly.all the bengs and lians in temasek one la' (IN CHI)
me, 'aiya...i haven't really go confirm la,but tp is so much closer and besides there is a course there for me (STIL IN CHI)
dad, 'you think that tampines is near ? i don't think its near.' (IN ENG)
mom,'yea la,somemore trips on bus is damn uncomfortable one,bang here and there.got nice smooth mrt ride don't want' (IN CHI)
me,'but clementi and dover lehs' (IN....CHI I TINK?LOL)
dad,'i still don't think tampines is near,i think clementi and dover isn't that far' (IN ENG)
mom,'yea la,i can also drop you off at nearer mrt stations on the way to work what' (IN CHI)
me, helplessly munching away on my ramily.
me.'but hor..singapore poly no hot guys lehs.only ngee ann and temasek have'(IN CHI..FOR MY MOM BENEFIT CAUSE MY DAD CAN UNDERSTAND MORE CHI THAN SHE CAN ENG)
mom, 'your cousin derrick in singapore poly lehs,where got no hot guys,he is already one of them' (IN CHI)
me,'thats my COUSIN you talking about! ...wah........-.-" ' (IN CHI)
dad,'WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?what hot guys??we are talking about your studies here. (IN ENG)
mom,'what about we move to heritage view la?(our condo in dover),then you will be close to singapore poly' (IN CHI)
bro cuts in,'heyy what about me?? '(IN ENG)

AND THE CONVERSATION WENT ON AND ON.
i nearly went nuts hearing english in one ear and chinese in the other.
my parents marriage work in strange ways i must say.

anyways,regarding my results.
its,somewhere in between.
i got 17 for my L1R5 and 13 for L1R4.
i'm disappointed in my english cause i only manage to scrap an A2,i bet my oral and comprehension killed me.
but thank God i passed my sci (b4,LOL.seems lousy to many people but its a whole lot of difference from my f9 in prelims) and my math (b3).
luckily i got A2 for dnt cause i won't feel that its time wasted.
like my english,i was also disappointed in my humans but i knew i did not give my best shot so a b3 is not really a surprise for me.
i do know this is the mark that god gave to me so YUP. thank God.
i prayed for 18 and 12 so 17 and 13 ain't all that bad la.
